Weekend Getaway

We had the greatest weekend getaway. Rafe called me a few weeks ago and said that there was one more Jazz game that fell on his days off and asked if I would like to go. Obviously I said YES! I love the Jazz! Adison is in love with Boozer, everytime the Jazz play she sits and says "Go Boozer!!" and then she says "Boozer did good huh" the funny thing is even when we would watch football she would say that. So we got our Jazz tickets and Adi was so so excited to go. Rafe told her that we could go out to Salt Lake early that day so she could get a Boozer shirt and I have never seen her so excited (except when her sister was FINALLY here). We all ended up getting outfitted with Jazz jerseys, dropped Kenna off at Jeff and Amye's and headed to the game. We had some pretty good pasta (it had to be good given the price!) and found our seats right in time for the game. Adison didn't know what to think at first; she covered her ears because it was loud but then she found the Jazz Bear! She watched him the whole time and occasionally watched the game. She loved halftime with all the dancers and by the end she was dancing, clapping and cheering for Boozer! It was a great game until the last two seconds when we lost by one point!

Then we got to sleep in a hotel!! yeah! For a three year old that is the greatest thing.

The next day we went to lunch at TGI Fridays with Jake and Danni and their beautiful kids! Then we all went to The Living Planet Aquarium. It was fun to see all sorts of fish. Adison just wanted to ride the sharks! Who know where she came up with that! The octopus was pretty cool and the sea horses and best of all the StingRay. They have a big pond that you can pet the stingrays. It's pretty cool. They also have an electric eel that Rafe made pretty mad with the video camera.

After getting the kids as tired as possible walking around the aquarium we loaded them up and headed home. They slept the whole way! This was such a fun much needed getaway. I am so glad that not all trips are that expensive though.

Sorry I didn't get any pictures since we forgot our camera. All we had was the video camera and Rafe didn't get any still shots :( Rafe did get a picture with a few of the Jazz dancers before the game and you can see it on his facebook. I have a couple pictures of us at the game on my phone if I can figure out how to get them on the computer I will.
