Looking Pregnant!

This picture was taken the end of September. Not sure exactly how far along I am 20 something weeks I think. I feel like I am much larger now. I am 36 weeks tomorrow!! Wow! It's coming fast! Adison keeps saying "Lets take her out now, Mom." I keep thinking that we have narrowed down the names but then we talk about it and more options keep coming up so, who knows what she will be called. If Adison were to choose today it would be "Cokie" Thank Goodness I have more say than she does!

It's been a long time since I have added photos so, I thought I would take a second to show you some of the Memories from the last half of 2008. Obviously these are only a few but, they were great! The pics of Adison in the laundry basket....that is how we found her when we got home from our Anniversary Trip. It was the first time we had left her for two days!! She was so tired of wondering where mom and dad were and when we would be home. The Halloween pictures are of Adison with my nephews. They are the only pictures we got from halloween this year. Enjoy the show!

KitchenAid Vs. Others???

So, I all of a sudden think that I want a KitchenAid. Well, I had no idea how much they cost! Wow! Can I just say they better be worth your money. It got me thinking...do I really need a KitcheAid or would some other brand be okay to have. I am not an avid cooker/baker so, do I really want to spend that much money? I have been comparing KitchenAid and Bosch. I am not sure what other brands there are out there. It seems to me that KitchenAid is probally the better buy. I don't make much bread but, maybe I would if I had a better mixer. I think I would mostly use it for cookies, cakes and that sort of thing. So, who has one and what do you think? Are they really worth the money? Are they just the best thing ever? Help me out.

Connor Morgan

Welcome Connor Morgan!! I don't have any pictures yet. (I forgot my camera) My sis in law Karri had her baby on September 24th. Cute little Connor Morgan Kirk. Weighing in at 8 lbs 10.6 oz; he is the cutest little boy! He has such a round chubby face; just adorable. Anyway, congrats Karri and Jeff.

Update!!

I have had a lot of people tell me that it is by far time to update my blog. I don't know what you are talking about!! So, not like I can remember everything that has happened since July but I will tell you some new things. I don't have time for pics and all that but, sometime I will get some updated pictures of us on here.

I am now 28 weeks pregnant and for the most part I feel pretty good. As long as I take a miracle drug called Zofran I can function like a normal person. If I miss a day, I am sicker than a dog. We went camping a couple weekends ago and I left my prescription home.....why would I do that? when I am pregnant I remember absolutely nothing....so we are on the mountain and I get sick. Rafe says I'll go home and get it. All I can think of is how much gas that is going to take and I will have random thoughts that I am past the morning sickness stage and I will be fine; so I say no lets wait and see if I feel better. So, I start to feel better and tell him he doesn't need to get it. We were coming home the next day anyway. As the day progresses so does my sickness. By Sunday morning, I was miserable. There was nothing in my stomach, I threw up all night long. I tried everything I could but, we had to cut the trip short. The second I got home, I took my miracle drug and didn't throw up again.
Last time I posted about the baby we were trying to decide if we were finding out the sex of the baby. Well, we (I) decided not to find out. Rafe was a great sport and let me have my way. When we had the ultrasound on July 25th and we didn't find out. By September I decided to "give in" and find out. On September 3rd we found out ITS A GIRL!! We are really excited. Adison is super excited! She loves to give the baby hugs and kisses. One day I got out of bed and she just started throwing a fit when I asked her what was wrong she just said "I need to kiss my baby!" It was so cute.

Other than updates about the baby everything else is pretty much still the same. I am working 3 days a week. I now have the decision about what to do after the baby....to work or not to work. I would love not to work but, who knows if that will happen or not. I have a really good job that I love and I don't what to loose it and then need it back again. I think I may just try and keep my foot in the door. Anyone have any ideas what to do??

We have started the debate about Halloween lately. I am not sure that Adison even knows what Halloween really is. We had decided she was going to be a princess (we just started liking princesses) She said she wanted a blue dress so, we were going with cinderella. Now today she says she wants to be a dog, then a pumpkin, then a witch, then last a doctor. She loves to play doctor so, maybe that is what she will end up with who knows. Anyone with cute ideas for a two year old???

I love you Grandma!

I just wanted to say one last time.....I love you Grandma. My Grandma Southam passed away on July 12th. We just had her funeral yesterday. It was really nice. It's crazy how you learn so many new things about people AFTER they die. I also wanted to thank Mikki Jo for giving Grandma and Granda the journal. It will be great to keep forever. Thank you to Mylinda, Marcia, Karl, and Brian for putting the video together. It's so nice to have all the pictures put together so we can have that memory of Grandma. I really enjoyed all the laughs and cries as a family. I love you all.

River Trip

So, it has been a really long time since I have had time to post anything. I have a quick second that I thought I would tell you about our trip today. Adison has been wanting to go up the mountain and she begs to go swimming. Morgan and Alison were running the river so when Rafe ended up not working we decided to hurry up the mountain and go with them. I told Adison we are doing your two favorite things. She was really excited to go. At first she was nervous but, by the end she was in the water up to her hips and hanging over the side of the raft. She would say "I freezing cold!" and "I soaking wet!" She loved it. She got so excited when the "waves" would come. She would sit and laugh and say "fun, fun, fun!" She was so tired that by the time we got back to the lodge to turn in our life jackets she was out like a light. It was really nice to spend the day outside with Rafe and Adison.
